In-Kind Donations
My Sister’s Circle gratefully accepts in-kind donations that can make a difference in the personal, cultural and academic development of our middle school, high school and college students. Past donations have included donating group tickets to theater and sporting events, providing meeting space for a monthly event, speaking on a career panel and offering behind-the-scenes business tours. Sponsorships
Would you be willing to sponsor a monthly trip for a group of girls or perhaps provide support for one specific girl? Many of our young women embrace the opportunities set before them but they face economic barriers, such as school-related costs like textbooks and summer camp expenses. Embracing Opportunities
MSC is doing what is necessary to promote college attendance and break the inter-generational cycles of unemployment and crime. Still, so much more needs to be done to provide an alternative to the lure of popular culture and to empower these young girls by building their self-esteem and self-respect, no matter their histories. It is about exposing these young girls to the possibilities that come from seeing one’s own potential. This is about modeling, over and over again, behaviors and habits that lead to academic and personal success. This is about going places and doing things that are a part of life for many, but undreamed of by some of these young girls. This is about creating an environment where a young girl would chose to embrace these opportunities because she sees it as part of how to take charge of her life.

We have supported My Sister’s Circle for about eight years. MSC is a wonderfully run organization that leverages a small and dynamic staff with an army of volunteer mentors. They do a wonderful job of providing a positive influence in the lives of deserving young girls as they navigate their way from middle school to college. It is a pleasure to support MSC. We think the MSC girls, Baltimore City, and we are getting a marvelous return on our investment.
